he percent of college students and marijuana use have rapidly increased over the years. While some turn to intoxication for comfort other turn to it for fun. According to USA Today nearly half of America's 5.4 million full-time college students abuse drugs at least once a month, also according to a new study that portrays substance abuse as an increasingly urgent problem on campuses across the nation. I feel that if students knew all of the facts about marijuana then they would rethink some of their decisions.
Marijuana has many negative effects from using it. The crude drug is made from the plant Cannabis sativa. The main mind-altering ingredient in marijuana is THC, but more than 400 other chemicals also are in the plant. Marijuana or as some like to call it a blunt is made from the dried particles of the plant. The amount of THC in the marijuana determines how strong its effects will be. The type of plant, the weather, the soil, the time of harvest, and other factors determine the strength of marijuana. The strength of today's marijuana is as much as ten times greater than the marijuana used in the early 1970s. This more potent marijuana increases physical and mental effects and the possibility of health problems for the user. Hashish, or hash, is made by taking the resin from the leaves and flowers of the marijuana plant and pressing it into cakes or slabs. Some of the immediate effects of smoking marijuana are a faster heartbeat, red, low eyes, and a dry mouth also referred to as cotton mouth. Studies shows that marijuana’s mental effect can impair of reduce short term memory, alter sense of time and reduce the ability to do thing that may cause concentration swift reactions, and coordination such as driving a car or taking a test.
Also Marijuana may have a few positive effects from using it too. On March 17, 1999, the US Institute of Medicine (IOM) said that smoking marijuana has benefits for the terminally ill. They suggested that studies begin on producing inhalation devices to provide a safe alternative to the harmful effects of smoking. The study concluded that marijuana can be useful in treating pain, nausea and appetite loss caused by advanced cancer and AIDS. The results of the studies done by IOM also stated that there was no evidence for marijuana being a "gateway" to harder drugs, or that it is addictive.
So in conclusion students as well as the adults around the students need to be well aware of what is going on around them. Today’s young people live in a world vastly different from that of their parents or grandparents. Kids are constantly bombarded with pro-drug messages on print, screen, CD’s and radio. Children also have easy access to the Internet, which is full of sites promoting the thrill of marijuana, offering kits for beating drug tests and advertising drug paraphernalia for sale. And at the same time, special-interest groups proclaim that smoked marijuana is harmless. I am going to leave you to ponder upon this question if you knew somebody could cause a danger to you or your family would you continue to allow them to come around. Well if you are a marijuana user think of the drug as a person that could do harm to you and your family would you really want something like that in your life?

Blog Description
With the explosion of blogging all over cyberspace (the image that generates isn't too far from the actual truth), we were treated to a tidal wave of rampant masturbation and textual diarrhea. Our low-tolerance sensitivities being what they are, kvltblog was birthed in retaliation. Not in a defeatist 'If you can't beat em, join em' manner! Rather, it was a cunning anti-blog movement, ingenious and subversive. However, the plan was doomed to fail, since our deliberately nonsensical ramblings turned out to be far more articulate and thought-provoking than most people's genuine attempts at profundity, and as a result, our irony was mistaken for sincerity.
Hence, we were left with only one recourse – to drink ourselves silly, and lament about the worthlessness of humanity. This was a tricky feat, since we're all mostly teetotallers. After we were hydrated back to sobriety, we took a unanimous decision (at least, one of us did) and left our anti-blogging ways behind us, quickly snatching up a you-are-elle and moving on to anti-siting. Note: This is different from aunty-sighting, which involves hanging around posh kiddie schools late afternoon and watching the MILFs show up. Raincoats are optional.
Eventually, we came to realise that our new acquisition, cleverly dubbed KvltSite, was in fact our collective scribbling pad, a way to get over all the curve balls that reality threw our way, and forget about stupid things like alimony and child support. Sorry, too much info. Bottom line, we felt it worthwhile to talk about all the things that we got off on – music, movies, games, books, comics, se... (scratch that, alimony and child support have taught us our lesson). We did so in the hope that when others came along and heard of our tastes and recommendations, they would realise how awesome we were. Well, if they actually went and sampled some of the stuff we were recommending, that would be sort of cool too. Hints of our old irreverence surface ever so often, with witty dissections of popular trends and cultural fads, in the form of textual harassment as well as crafty comics. Sometimes both at the same time. Ha!
In short, we're in the business of writing our asses off about anything we think is cool. If you want your album to get a writeup, then get in touch and send us a copy. Odds are high that it'll get reviewed if it kicks our ass (or if you give us free stuff), and even if it doesn't rock our world, we'll consider reviewing it, depending on a number of factors (like if you gave us free stuff or not).
We also have a shitty page on myspace so there's another place to get in touch with us. But please, we don't want to get mass-added by your band. Having 30000 friends and spamming them about your latest myspace upload isn't going to help. At least hook us up with your music so the back-scratching can begin.

Classification Of Lifestyle
TYPES OF LİFESTYLES
From the time of people come to the world, they begin to learn some stuff by seeing, hearing, trying to understand what’s going on around. They grow up and their personality get a shape according to their abilities, friends ,environment, family etc. So these affects constitutes a lifestyle and it can be categorized as green lifestyle, fashion lifestyle and musical lifestyle.
In the first category is green lifestyle which has some principles about environment, greens and pollutions. People who have green lifestyle, get extra attention to keep the environment clean. Many of them argue with the other people who throw their waste. Because plastic or chemical waste causes permanent pollution in the world and not only humans get affected this situation. Some of them protest against corporations which destroy forests for a new hotel, house , touristic place or sth like that. They choose getting a job about environment like environmental engineering , landscape architecture , city and regional planning etc. They only work to institute a beautiful area for humanity.
Second lifestyle Is fashion lifestyle. It can cost much more money if one wants to follow some luxurious trends. There are 2 roles of this lifestyle. They are customers and designers. Customers are ‘’generally’’ women and they compete with each other about dressing. They search every websites, stores , shops for fashionable clothes. Rich ones have stylists who help to combine the color of clothes with accessories and shoes . It seems ridiculous but fashion is passion for these people they like spending money for it. Other role is designers. They love designing patterns on clothes , shaping some creative models and making people appreciate to their productions. Some of them is good at doing this and they really get high prices in today’s world. Their thoughts are different from ‘’normal’’ people because they try to create new stuffs every time in their lives and it earns them different perspectives. So it is respectful and funny lifestyle.
Last kind of lifestyle is the most enjoyable one for most people is musical lifestyle. Like fashion lifestyle, there are 2 roles in this one: Listeners and professional musicians. Actually professional musicians are also listeners additionally they create music for all the world. Listeners might be obsessive or just listen occasionally. Obsessive ones think that without music means death. Their lifestyles can be categorized based on what kind of music they listen for example rockers (especially teenagers) have crabby life , they like black stuffs.
Professionals earn money by making music. They have active, non-stop life and they have to keep pace with it. This lifestyle may get reputation and many fans. But it is annoying to some famous musicians. They have no private life , they cant walk alone , hang up with their friends in someplace. Some of them begin smoking or using drugs because of the burden of reputation . Absolutely there are many benefits of being musician. First of all music feeds our soul , it is necessary for every people. So making music is deathly valuable activity . We cant imagine a life without music and musician. This lifestyle needs really hungry musicians otherwise no one can survive with this lifestyle.
All these things considered, there are some lifestyles and undoubtedly everyone subject to one of them. They have differences and analogies so we cant distinguish each other with strict line.

Comparing And Contrasting: Da Vinci And Michelangelo
Comparing and Contrasting Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo
Leonardo da Vinci can easily be referred to as the renaissance man; he was regarded as more or less, the most skilled painter in renaissance times, and a highly accomplished scientist. Among other things, Leonardo was well schooled and grew up as an apprentice under other great artists. He mastered music by playing the lute and filled notebook after notebook with ideas theories, and fascinating concepts of the world around him. Though Leonardo was also an artful sculptor, he regarded painting as the highest form of art, and he did so for many reasons. As a scientist, Leonardo could not be idealistic, he looked at the world as it was, and found reason in how it worked and how things appeared, such as depth and perspective. He used these observations to depict realism in his art, and he used his imagination and skill to make his paintings as real and lifelike as humanly possible. With sculpture Leonardo believed there were limits, with painting, he had endless possibilities, and with these endless possibilities at his fingertips he could add certain symbols, and characteristics. One of these things was geometric shapes, they were a staple of the renaissance and a common theme in Leonardo’s paintings. Often times a triangle can be seen, which is a universal sign of the holy trinity. Another detail Leonardo would add is something a little more humanistic; he would give each being their own personal traits and facial features. Leonardo’s skill and detail gave his paintings great feeling and mood, and brought his paintings a step above all others.
Michelangelo on the other hand, much preferred sculpting over painting, his belief was that sculpture was the highest form of art. For Michelangelo, sculpture was much more gratifying, and he loved getting his hands dirty and laboring in his works. He could apply his beliefs of neoplatonism to sculpting simply by creating something amazing and great, out of what began as a meaningless piece of marble. Michelangelo also showed his neo-platonic ideas through the use of weird proportions and mathematical flaws, to make the sculptures appear perfect to the eye. He did this on many occasions, though two of his greatest sculptures are his David, and Pieta. Both of these sculptures are awesome in their own right, and for many reasons, like Michelangelo’s use of idealism. You can see this in his portrayal of David; when David triumphed over Goliath, he was merely a boy, though Michelangelo depicted him as the strong but steady king he would become. Michelangelo also fused Pagan and Christian beliefs by portraying the biblical David as being entirely nude. Though Michelangelo preferred sculpture he also painted when commissioned to, and his idealism, neo-platonic ideas, and fusion of Pagan and Christian beliefs showed here as well. All of these ideas can be seen on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in nude figures, and the overall way some of the pieces are painted. Because of the vaulted ceiling Michelangelo had to paint so that at ground level looking up, the paintings would appear to the eye, to be flat. Though Michelangelo’s style and approach to art was much different than Leonardo’s, his love for sculpting, and supreme abilities in both sculpting and painting proved him to be one of the top artists of his time.
The Last Supper, by Leonardo da Vinci is an oil and tempera on plaster, and depicts Jesus and his twelve disciples sitting at a table, at the moment where Jesus announces that one of them will betray him. Jesus and his disciples are all shown on one side of the table facing the viewer, with Jesus seated in the middle and two groups of three disciples at each of his sides. The way the disciples are grouped shows perfect mathematical division, as well as the four tapestries on each side that lead to the back of the room. The tapestries on the walls, as well as the wood structure of the ceiling also serve another purpose, they show linear perspective which gives the painting great depth and dimension, with the vanishing point, where the lines converge being right over Christ’s head. The shape of Christ’s body is in the geometric shape of a triangle, depicting the holy trinity, and the three windows behind him show the same thing. The windows were painted with a shading technique called sfumato, making them look as though they are at a distance, which once again conveys the feeling of depth and realism in the painting. Leonardo also showed a great deal of individualism and humanism, by giving each disciple their own facial features, and distinct facial expressions.
If Michelangelo would have painted the Last Supper, it would with no doubt, have a different look and feel. There would be little or no depth to the painting, and with out the use of linear perspective, which Michelangelo did not use, it would appear to be flat. The way the painting is divided mathematically would be completely different. Instead of having equal division, there would probably be some amount of flawed mathematics, with the painting somehow still looking correct to the eye. The disciples would all look much more masculine, but would not have any individual traits, and the image of Jesus would be idealized, to look bigger or higher than his disciples. Though I don’t believe there would be any Pagan and Christian integration, their would be some portrayal of neoplatonism that would show Jesus as the source of enlightenment and higher truth.
Michelangelo’s style differs greatly compared to Leonardo’s and this is easily seen in Michelangelo’s Temptation and Expulsion from the Garden of Eden. This painting is a fresco, located on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, and it depicts two scenes with the forbidden tree in the middle separating them. The first scene is the temptation, where Adam and Eve are in the garden of Eden. There is some vegetation and rocks creating all of the foreground. In the tree is a serpent, tempting eve with fruit as Adam reaches for some fruit himself. To the right of the temptation, is the expulsion scene, here an angel is forcing Adam and Eve out of the paradise of the garden of Eden. The whole painting consists completely of foreground, there are some simple clouds in the sky but there is no depth to them, making the painting look flat. There is a great use of neoplatonism though, as Adam and Eve both look young in the temptation, and much older in the expulsion where they are being driven out of the garden because of sin. Another aspect of Eve’s overall look is that she is very masculine, and idealized as the mother of humanity. There is a fusion of Pagan ideas as well, through the portrayal of Adam and Eve being nude.
Had Leonardo painted the Temptation and Expulsion from the Garden of Eden, it would have looked quite different. The vegetation would have been much more scientifically accurate, Leonardo would have used actual plants that he may have observed around Florence. Linear perspective and sfumato would have been used to give the painting depth and perspective, not only would there be a foreground but an extremely lush background to the garden. The use of chiaroscuro would have most likely been used on the angels garments, using light and dark to give them a rippled, realistic, lifelike look, as though they were softly draped over the angels body. Instead of Adam and Eve being idealized from the temptation to the expulsion, they would have their own individual features, Eve would be more feminine, and they both would have looks of shame and regret on their faces.
Even though Leonardo and Michelangelo had different styles and approaches to art, they both were amazing artists for their time. They had their rivalries, but in the end they both created amazing works of art in their own way, and revolutionized painting and sculpture. Their works of art can hardly be matched, even in modern times.

Definition Of Love
Love is a word with many definitions. Although, Webster defines love as a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties; affection and tenderness felt by lovers based on admiration, benevolence or common interests, but to me love is not just a feeling, but it is the way that you treat the ones you care for. You should treat the ones you love so considerately through your actions they'll know you care and love them. Love in my eyes, is making that sacrifice for someone, knowing that you might regret it sooner or later. Love is how you make another person feel when you are in their presence.
Many people show or express their love for someone in many and different ways. To me love is in the actions not the words. The true meaning of love like what is the meaning of life is one of the questions that will remain unsolved forever, but right now love is a great thing that should be treasured forever and valued as a important part in your life, because it will effect all relationships, romantic or not. Love has not changed at all over the course of history and this makes it the most important emotion anyone could ever have. Most people take love for granted and worry about it always being there when they need it the most.
Family love is another type of love we can think about. It is the love we use between our intermediate family and our extended family members. Family love is said to be blind only to show that love can be shown to anyone, no matter condition or problems one can have. Of course, we all know about the good times, hard times, and times we have as a family, but no matter what the situations are within the family, love is usually an important part.
A close bond between two people can begin with a friendship. Whether it is a friendship between two guy friends, two girl friends, or one male and one female these friendships will develop into love. It is not a romantic love, but this type of love still connects people. Friends may fight or move to different areas, but friends will always have that connection they once shared. Romantic love on the other hand is not always there at the beginning, but grows within us. When we finally find the love we’vr been looking for, I believe you can not imagine life with anybody else.
Romantic love is a connection between two people that is captured with a feeling that is not only felt within the heart, but within their body as well. I have never been in love with a guy, yet I can only imagine what it might be like to be in love. However, from my observations of my friends and family love just seems like a big headache more than anything else which I know isn’t true, because no matter what there will always be disagreements, arguments, but what’s a relationship without them?
To simply write a definition of love is complicated, because every person has a different perception of love. The only way to capture the true meaning of love is to experience the feeling and find out for yourself what love is. In our lives and the lives of others, love is there. Whether it is between family, friends, or lovers, love is a precious feeling; love in itself is something that will never fade away, no matter who falls in and out of it. The concept of love is one that will change over time, but remains a characteristic of life. When true love is found it will last forever and you will probably have the happiest times of your life however, time may change many things, but feelings and emotions are apart of what remains constant.
